Office Hours & Appointments

Normal hours are Monday through Friday., 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., with occasional closures for special meetings, staff education programs, and major holidays. An on-call provider is always available for urgent problems after-hours and on weekends. We discourage walk-in visits without appointments. If you drop in without an appointment, a medical assistant will screen your problem and a provider will review the information. If appropriate we will provide care for you later in the day or refer you to an appropriate facility for care. If you have an emergency or urgent need for an appointment, it is still better to call first so we can be ready. Life threatening emergencies should go straight to the emergency room or call 911.

Our office works on an appointment basis and we do all we can to accommodate your needs. Your appointment time is scheduled based upon the needs you express at the time of your call. Additional or new concerns at the time of your appointment may require another appointment in order to provide you with a thorough diagnosis and treatment plan. Please keep in mind that new patient appointments require time for paperwork and will also generally require more time with the provider.

New patients should arrive 15 minutes prior to the appointed time to complete paperwork.

Please try to provide at least 24 hours notice of appointment cancellation so that another patient in need can be seen. Repeated failure to provide adequate notice of cancellation (three or more occasions) may result in termination of medical services by our office. If you arrive late for your appointment, it may be considered a no-show you may need to reschedule to a different day so that our other patients can be seen on time. Plan plenty of time in case you have to use an overflow parking lot.

ABOUT NORMA ESPINOZA NP/PA-C
Norma Espinoza, Nurse Practitioner and Certified Physician Assistant (NP/PAC) works together with Dr. Hoddinott as a team. Norma sees patients the same way as Dr. Hoddinott, and communicates closely with Dr. Hoddinott on complicated medical issues.

Dr. Hoddinott believes strongly that all patients should be known by both Dr. Hoddinott and Practitioner Espinoza so that either provider can provide care to you. Our receptionists will schedule you with either person depending on your medical needs for that appointment, and the availability of the provider. This allows the practice to provide the best medical care to our patients in a timely fashion. A nurse practitioner/certified physician assistant is a registered nurse with advanced training in the diagnosis and therapeutic care of patients in collaboration with a physician. NP/PACs can order and evaluate lab tests, treat wounds and illnesses, perform minor surgery, and administer and prescribe medications. Our patients report a high level of satisfaction with their visits with Norma. Please communicate as openly with her as you would with the doctor. Norma is bilingual and speaks fluent Spanish. She has specialized experience in gynecology and adolescents, and does most of the office minor surgery. If your provider is not available for an urgent problem or follow-up visit please accept the first available appointment with any of us.
